Do the deposit rules really change by state?
Yes. The number of days a landlord has to return your deposit, and what they have to send you, are set by each state. For example, California returns run to 21 days and Texas to 30, while Arizona uses 14 business days. Each metro page gives the local timeline as general information, and you should confirm your lease and your state’s current rules.
Does the price change by city?
The cost of a move-out clean varies by local market and by the size and condition of your place, so each metro page gives an approximate local range. The quote we send you is a flat price for your specific place, not an hourly rate, and it carries no obligation.
